Who keeps saying your prayers when you've blown them off?

I had an experience today that I won't share with you.

It was pretty profound, to me, and it happened while on the phone with my mom. She's doing something today that she really doesn't know how to do, and the outcome does not depend on her choices. She has taken advice from me in the past, on this subject and others, that she should wait and see. I've used the example of driving on the freeway in medium heavy traffic. Dashing into the first opening is often a mistake, right? You end up getting trapped deeper, getting passed by the guy on the side of the road with a walker. Wait until you must move, or at least wait until there are recognizable patterns that you can take advantage of. I think she's done that, and I hope she's doing only what must be done.

The experience in question is what you'd call a religious experience, or you might call it "delusional", depending on your point of view, and whether you actively enjoy being wrong (because I'm right, you see /winkyface).

In spite of my own ... conflicts ... God still pays attention to what I'm up to, and my family, even those of my family who think he is a figment of my imagination.

That's nice to be reminded of, sometimes.
